This is a very exciting year for the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School and Parish community. Our school is proudly accredited by the WCEA (Western Catholic Educational Association) which mission is to ensure the Catholic identity of the school as well as its academic program. Its goal is to guarantee parents and the parish community that the elementary school is academically sound and spiritually formative for its students. Our school is also fully accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges).

Every six years our school community takes the time to look carefully to every single aspect of our education program in all areas and goes through an accreditation process. We started this process last year with parent, students, and faculty surveys and power point presentations during PTO meetings. We took a closer look at our Mission Statement and School-wide Learning Expectations.

This school year, on February 28- March 1st we will have the visit of the Accreditation Committee.

The accreditation is a process designed to strengthen schools in the delivery of quality educational programs. Accreditation is important to schools as it impacts students' access to colleges and universities and career opportunities in a variety of ways. An effective WASC self-study review is a powerful tool for schools to improve the quality of education and more effectively serve staff and students.

May God Bless You,

Please keep me in your prayers,

Sr. Maria de los Remedios Aguilar SJS - Principal
